Do I need a desk phone to use ClearPoint VoIP?

No. Desk phones are completely optional. Most teams use our mobile, desktop, or browser app, with no hardware required.

 

Can I use my existing IP phones?

Yes, most modern SIP-based phones work with ClearPoint VoIP. Supported brands include Yealink, Poly, and Cisco. If you already own equipment, we’ll check compatibility for free.

 

What if I want new desk phones?

We offer recommended business-grade IP phones at competitive pricing. Whether you need one receptionist phone or a full office deployment, we’ll configure everything for you.

 

Do I need a headset?

Not unless you prefer one. Any USB or Bluetooth headset can improve clarity when using the mobile or desktop app.

 

Do I need special internet equipment?

Most businesses already have what they need. For best performance, we recommend:

  • A stable high-speed internet connection

  • A modern business router

  • Ethernet or reliable Wi-Fi
     

If you’re unsure, we’ll evaluate your network during onboarding.

 

Do I need a server or on-site PBX?

No. All call routing, voicemail, and PBX functions run in the cloud.
There is no physical server hardware required.

 

How does setup work?
